In July 2019, our team of volunteers (with the support of ALIA) will be hosting the most innovative and inspiring conference for future information professionals that we can create – the 9th New Librarians’ Symposium (NLS9). We are passionate about our industry and our audience and confident in our ability to bring together a great mix of presenters and workshops along the theme of Collaborate, Deviate and Innovate.
So will you collaborate with us? Do you have a product or sponsorship idea that deviates from the traditional? Do you want to support innovation in the information sphere or have a new product to introduce us to?
By sponsoring NLS9, you will be reaching hundreds of student and early career Information Professionals from around Australia, both via the conference and via our very active social media channels. Our Twitter account has more than 1,300 followers already. A key component of the New Librarians’ Symposium is the networking and community building opportunities between those starting out in the industry and the industry leaders we have invited to speak. By sponsoring us you will have the opportunity to be part of this developing community and support the development of the next generation of library, gallery, museum and archive professionals.
We will have a range of traditional collaboration options, such as sponsoring a keynote speaker, bursaries for attendees or a meal break. We also welcome suggestions for sponsorship options which deviate from the traditional and/or innovative ideas for how you can support NLS9 to truly inspire our community.
What do you get out of sponsoring NLS9?
You support us, we support you! The benefits of sponsoring NLS9 will include:
- Promotion of your organisation, including via social media channels, and having your logo on conference program and website
- NLS9 promotes the importance of keeping up with new innovations and developing industry networks. By sponsoring us you will have the opportunity to introduce the next generation of LIS professionals to your organisation and your product. You will have face-to-face interaction with up to 200 very keen student and early career LIS professionals, including the leaders we have invited to present
- Opportunity to create an ongoing relationship with the the current and future New LIbrarians’ Symposium committees.
We would love to hear about any sponsorship opportunities and ideas you may have.
