Fancy-Pants

Hilton Hotel – across the road from the conference venue, great bar and restaurant, old school fancy

Mayfair Hotel – excellent breakfast buffet and dessert trolley, boutique hotel opposite Rundle Mall entrance.

The Franklin Hotel – chic rooms above a great pub/restaurant, down the road from conference venue.

Adina Apartment Hotel – across the road from the venue.

Majestic Roof Garden Hotel – nice roof garden (obvs) & nice spot near restaurant/shopping strip Rundle St.

The Manor Basket Range – formerly known as Camelot Castle, this hotel mixes kitschy castle style with top quality hospitality, its tucked away in the hills 20 minutes out of town so a car is needed, but worth it if you want somewhere a bit different and to explore the Adelaide Hills when you are not busy with Symposium time.

Goldilocks

AirBnB  – Choose a room, an apartment or a whole house in the CBD or surrounding suburbs like Bowden, Brompton, North Adelaide, Norwood, Parkside, Mile End, Thebarton or Goodwood for a quick and easy journey into town.

Hotel Richmond – in the heart of Rundle Mall, part of Adelaide’s shopping strip,

Adabco Boutique Hotel – Good value and location, heritage building,

Franklin Central Apartments – located between the Central Markets and the conference venue in Victoria Square, good option if you like to self cater.

Cheap and Cheerful

Couch-surfing  – for free accommodation and a great way to meet friendly locals try couch-surfing. Stick to the city and surrounding suburbs, especially those located on tram or train lines for easy access to the Symposium

Sunny’s – Adelaide’s smallest hostel,  friendly & cheap.

BackpackOZ / The Guest House  – boutique, family run hostel.

Adelaide Central YHA –  free breakfast, WiFi & bikes.

Adelaide’s Shakespeare Backpackers Hostel –  clean, cheap and relaxed.

Glenelg Beach Hostel – heritage building in the bustling (well bustling for Adelaide!), beach side suburb of Glenelg -a 30 minute tram ride from the city.

Librarian B & B

If you’d like to immerse yourself in your librarian weekend why not stay with a fellow librarian. Register your interest and we’ll team you up with a local librarian who can give you all their hot Adelaide tips, talk books until the wee hours and accompany you to the symposium if you’re directionally challenged.
